Ms. Johnstone-Mosher was part of the team that designed and created fabrication directives for a pop up shop installation in Dior’s Soho, NY store.

Ms. Johnstone-Mosher also created many of the compositions, construction documents and install directives for Dior stores across the country.

Making this project particularly complex was the use of plaids at multiple scales at multiple rotations. Mapping these patterns for both the fabrication of frames and for the printing of vinyl was done in Rhino 3D and Adobe Illustrator.

Each “Frame” or moulding section was comprised of innumerable individual pieces, all painted in one of four colors. Furthermore, each section of moulding was unique, requiring impeccable documentation for the construction and install teams to assemble the pieces properly.

Directives or shop drawings were also created for the finishing team who was responsible for creating props that also displayed the same plaid pattern in multiple scales and at multiple angles.
